Sarah Silverman, MD, is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who’s been working in New York City since 2008. Dr. Silverman focuses her practice on adult and adolescent allergy evaluation and management, including allergic rhinitis (hay fever), asthma, sinus issues, allergies to foods, insects, and drugs, as well as eczema and other allergic skin conditions like contact dermatitis, urticaria, and angioedema. Additionally, Dr. Silverman has considerable expertise in immune-deficiency evaluation and has presented at regional and national conferences on issues related to primary immunodeficiency. She is passionate about the patient experince as supported by her internet presence. Her patients describe her as personable, thoughtful and thorough.
After receiving a master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Silverman was awarded her medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, plus a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Prior to joining Hudson Allergy, she was an assistant professor at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Silverman is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; and a member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society.
